What personal data we collect

We collect personal data when you register, verify your account, deposit or withdraw, play, set safer gambling tools or contact our team. We hold a gaming licence and are required to confirm the age and identity of every account holder, so some of the data below is information we must collect rather than information we choose to collect.

Account and identity details

  • Registration details such as your name, date of birth, residential address, e-mail address, telephone number, username and password.
  • Documents and data used to confirm your age and identity, such as photographic identification, proof of address and, where our checks require it, evidence of the source of the funds you are playing with.
  • Proof that a payment method belongs to you, for example a partially masked card image or a bank statement extract.
  • Your account settings, including marketing preferences, deposit limits, time-outs and any self-exclusion you have put in place.

Transaction, device and usage data

  • Deposits, withdrawals, pending payments, bonus credits and the wagering recorded against them.
  • Your play history, including games opened, stakes, outcomes and session length.
  • Technical data such as your IP address, device type, operating system, browser and the approximate location indicated by your connection.
  • How you use the site, including pages opened, features used and the times you log in.
  • Messages you send us through live chat or e-mail, and our replies.

If you choose not to provide information we are required to hold, we may be unable to open your account, release a withdrawal or keep the account open.

Why we use your personal data

We use your personal data for a defined set of purposes connected with running a gambling account. We do not use it for unrelated purposes without telling you first.

  1. Running your account. Registering you, processing deposits and withdrawals, recording play, applying bonuses and answering your questions.
  2. Confirming age and identity. Checking that you are 18 or over and that you are the person you say you are, including checks against documents you upload and against data held by verification partners.
  3. Preventing fraud and money laundering. Monitoring for stolen payment methods, duplicate accounts, collusion and patterns that our obligations require us to look into.
  4. Meeting our legal and regulatory duties. Keeping the records we are required to keep, responding to lawful requests and meeting our safer gambling obligations.
  5. Supporting safer gambling. Operating deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion, and contacting you where our monitoring suggests your play may be causing you harm.
  6. Sending offers. Sending promotional messages only where you have opted in, by the channels you selected.
  7. Keeping the site working. Diagnosing faults, measuring performance and improving how the site and the cashier behave.

Marketing is always your choice

You can opt out of marketing at any time in your account settings, by using the unsubscribe option in any message, or by writing to support@casinomogobet.co.uk. We will still send service messages about your account, payments, account checks and changes to our terms.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data and we do not pass it to other businesses for their own marketing. We share it only where it is needed for the purposes set out above, and only with the categories of recipient listed here.

  • Payment providers and banks, so deposits and withdrawals can be processed and disputed payments settled.
  • Identity-verification and fraud-prevention partners, who compare the details and documents you give us with records they hold.
  • Technology suppliers who host the site, deliver e-mail, run live chat and keep our systems secure, acting only on our written instructions.
  • Game suppliers, so that games load correctly and results are recorded and can be checked.
  • Professional advisers such as auditors, accountants and lawyers, where they need the information to advise us.
  • Regulators, law enforcement and other public bodies, where the law requires or permits us to respond to a valid request.
  • Self-exclusion schemes, where your details must be shared so that an exclusion you have set works across operators.

Every supplier that handles data on our behalf is bound by a written contract that limits what they may do with it and requires them to keep it secure. Where data is handled outside the United Kingdom, we put in place the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law before it is transferred.

How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for the period that the law and our regulatory duties require. Retention periods differ by record type, and we apply the shortest period that still allows us to meet those duties.

  • Registration, identity and verification records are held while the account is open and for the retention period required after closure.
  • Payment, bonus and anti-money-laundering records are held for the period set by financial crime and licensing requirements, which is longer than for most other records.
  • Safer gambling records, including limits, time-outs and self-exclusions, are held for as long as the relevant scheme or regulation requires. A self-exclusion cannot be removed before the period you chose has ended.
  • Live chat transcripts, e-mail correspondence and technical logs are held for a shorter operational period.
  • Marketing preferences, including opt-outs, are kept so that we can continue to honour your choice.

Once a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you.

Your rights, cookies and how to contact us

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you.

  • Access - ask for a copy of the data we hold and an explanation of how we use it.
  • Correction - ask us to put right anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure - ask us to delete data, where we have no legal or regulatory reason to keep it.
  • Restriction - ask us to pause our use of your data while a question about it is settled.
  • Objection - object to processing we carry out on the basis of our legitimate interests, and to marketing at any time.
  • Portability - ask for the data you gave us in a commonly used electronic format.
  • Withdrawal of consent - withdraw consent for anything we do on that basis, including marketing.
  • Complaint - raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.

To use any of these rights, write to support@casinomogobet.co.uk from the e-mail address registered on your account, or speak to us on live chat. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else. We respond within the time UK data protection law allows and tell you if a request is complex and needs longer. Some requests cannot be met in full: for example, we cannot erase records we are required to retain, and we cannot lift a self-exclusion early.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data or a request about it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would ask you to raise the matter with us first, so that we have the chance to put it right.
